📄 Appraisal Guidelines & Coverage Overview
Appraisals may be required for stringed instruments and bows valued over $100,000, and must be dated within the past 10 years. Instruments valued at $1,000,000 or more typically require current appraisals at all times.
Appraisals are preferred from members of the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers or the Appraisers Association of America , though any credentialed professional is typically accepted.
